here’s a new ideological movement for you: internet iconoclasm
- stop putting random internet people on pedestals because they’re funny or quirky or for any reason at all actually
- self examine and self criticize: are you putting too much stock in parasocial internet relationships? are you being mindful of the humanity of others?
- never lay down your pride to defend someone you’ve never even talked to
- remember that the person and the persona can be very different
- if an online celebrity or influencer deserves to be torn down, then let them be torn down.

Suetonius adds that, according to some reports, he said in Greek: “Kai su, teknon” (which Shakespeare turned into the Latin “Et tu Brute?”). It literally means “You too, child,” but what Caesar may have intended by the words isn’t clear. Tempest cites “an important article” by James Russell (1980) “that has often been overlooked”. Russell points out that the words kai su often appear on curse tablets, and suggests that Caesar’s putative last words were not “the emotional parting declaration of a betrayed man to one he had treated like a son” but more along the lines of “See you in hell, punk.”

30 DAYS OF HORROR CHALLENGE: 4/5 Haunted Locations → Poveglia Island
Poveglia is a small island located between Venice and Lido in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy. In 1793, after several cases of plague on two ships, the island was used as a temporary confinement station for the ill. Centuries later, in 1922, the existing buildings were converted into an asylum. There are reports of patients being mistreated and doctors using them to conduct experiments. The place was shut down in 1968. Estimations suggest that over 100,000 people died on the island over the centuries.

sure, sex is great and all but have you ever tried listening to the sound your keyboard makes when you’re on a writing roll and continuously typing with only few milliseconds of break?
My grandmother is a bitter old crab with nothing good to say about anything, but she does have a few good stories. She confronted the woman my grandfather had been cheating on her with - this other woman had no idea he was married, and was righteously angry.
The two of them schemed together. My grandfather’s mistress drove her convertible to the construction site where he was working. As he approached the car, she said, “Why didn’t you tell me you were married?”
“Married?! I’m not married!” he said.
My grandmother sat up in the back seat, where she’d been lying down, and said, “You won’t be for much longer.”
HOLY SHIT
This is a Country song.
